IT SEEMS THERE IS A BIG CHANGE in delivering children to and from school around here, the big yellow school buses getting smaller or being replaced by large SUV vehicles. We saw the line up af ter school recently with these two SUV picking up kids. They seem to be more practical in many ways. Beside being less expensive to replace than a big bus, drivers of the SUVs are not required to have the same stringent commercial drivers license to operated the 10 passenger or less vehicles.

We stopped and visited with one of the SUV bus drivers, Dana Fjeld. He has been driving bus for Scobey Schools for 26 years and stated, “In all my time here, this is the first bus I've driven that has air conditioning!” Further up the row, Dorothy Holum a driver of 41 years, continues to driv...
