They snuffed out the Scouts but were bucked by the Broncs, which sums up the opening week of games for the Scobey varsity girls basketball team.

Played in Miles City at Miles Community College’s Centra gymnasium during the Coach Connors Classic, the Scobey varsity girls’ basketball team departed Cowtown Saturday, December 7, with a 1-1 record.

Things could be worse, like being 0-2, but they are not with an almost-full season still to be played.

Friday afternoon’s season opener was against the Bridger Scouts, whose home district is the 6C.

Scobey junior Camrie Holum converted a pair of offensive rebounds into a 4-0 lead, which later grew to a 12-4 gap after Kennadi Cromwell dropped in a 3-point field goal.
