Did you know the town of Flaxville, Montana was originally known as Boyer? However, when the Great Northern Railway branch line, veering off the mainline at Bainville, moved north and then to the west in 1913, the site of the burg was moved to its present location and renamed Flaxville. The reason being the large amount of flax grown in the area.
