The holidays are rapidly approaching and it’s time to think seriously about holiday safety. Here are some safety hints. • Don’t overload circuits with excessive holiday lights. • Don’t overload outlets with multiple accessory plug-ins. • Don’t decorate with real candles near anything flammable. • Don’t climb rickety or unsafe ladders. • Don’t use alternative climbing devices, such as stacked chairs. • Don’t leave fireplaces burning overnight-not even embers. • Don’t run extension wires under rugs or carpets. • Don’t use frayed or under-rate extension cords. • Don’t let live Christmas trees dry out. • Don’t let things get piled on stairs. • Don’t leave presents and other valuables visible in cars. • Don’t leave the driveway unplowed if you’re away. • Don’t drive after partying. • Don’t let an accident spoil your holidays. CHRISTMAS SWAP & SHOP – Saturday, December 7th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Proceeds go towards Vacation Bible School. If you have decorations you’d like to get reused we’d appreciate it.
